Compaq Mini CQ10-688nr featuring LTE to go on sale in US

U.S. mobile operator Verizon Wireless announced that in the near future, they will start selling a new version of Compaq Mini CQ10 netbook, announced earlier this year. This modification of CQ10-688nr is the one which features support for wireless high-speed data transmission technology LTE (4G).

Aside from supporting LTE, Compaq Mini CQ10-688nr is a pretty mediocre netbook based on Intel Atom platform. It is equipped with Atom N455 processor, clocked at 1.66GHz, built-in GPU Intel GMA 3150, 1GB of DDR3 memory and a 250GB HDD. Like most other members of the family Mini CQ10-688nr netbook is equipped with a 0.3 megapixel camera, card reader, as well as Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n adapter. It has a 10.1 inch screen with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.

As for the price, new netbook will cost $ 450 with a two-year plan from the carrier. Remember that the price of a standard modification of Compaq Mini CQ10, announced at CES 2011, was $ 261.
